Selling a property at auction is a structured and efficient process designed to achieve a sale within a set timeframe. Unlike traditional property sales, where negotiations can take weeks or months, auctions follow a clear sequence, ensuring transparency and speed. Understanding how to list and prepare your property for auction is essential for achieving the best possible outcome. From selecting the right auction type to finalizing legal documentation, each step plays a crucial role in ensuring a successful sale.
A clear step-by-step guide to selling your property at auction.
Choosing the right type of auction and strategy
The team will assist you in arranging a strategy which would create the highest possible engagement from the market, including a starting price and type of auction.
Regulatory checks
The Sold4U2Day team will complete our standard checks such as reviewing ID and property details.
Marketing
Your property will be marketed on our platforms to generate activity online, to help increase competitive bidding.
Auction Pack
Consult with your solicitor on arranging an auction pack. Once it is ready, the team will set a date for the auction to start.
Bidding
Buyers would place bids until the timer runs out. If a bid is made within the last minute, the timer resets by a set time to ensure other buyers are not caught out and bid higher.
Property Sold STC
Your property is sold and the buyer has either 28 or 56 days from the exchange of contracts to completion, depending on the type of auction.
Completion
Our team ensures the transaction is moving smoothly on both sides whilst keeping you informed until completion.
